It conforms to AWWA C 203 : 2015, IS 10221 and IS 15337 : 2003 and EIL Specification.
Application:
- ShaliPrime® PW CT is applied as a primer over steel pipelines for providing bond between PipeWrap CT and primed steel pipes
Surface Preparation:
- Clean the surface free of all foreign matter, dust, oil or grease, specially of chloride contamination.
- Ensure not to apply when temperature is less than 5
- Blast clean surface of the pipe by shot and grit to a greyish matt appearance to SA 2 ½.
Application of Material:
- Apply ShaliPrime PW® CT at the rate of 0.30 L / m2 on completely dry surface
Health & Safety:
- Avoid contact with skin / eyes and avoid swallowing
- Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour
- Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection
- In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent to clean the contacted area
- In case of eye contact, wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
- If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting

Application:
- Priming bituminous, concrete / metal surfaces prior to laying membrane promotes bonding, whether self-adhesive or otherwise.
- Applied in canal lining joints and concrete floor joints prior to pouring of the bitumen sealing compound for bonding.
Advantages:
- Seal pores on surfaces such as concrete
- Improves the adhesion of bituminous material that is to be applied to the substrate.
Application Methodology:
- Ensure not to apply when temperature is less than 5 OC or during foggy period
- Before applying the primer make the concrete surfaces free from dust and sand particles by brooming and allow it to dry. Concrete should be cured and should be eight days old.
- ShaliTex Primer should be thoroughly stirred before use and applied to the substrate by means of brush, roller or spray at the rate of 0.30 L/m2 .
- Allow it to dry for 24 hr.
