Application:

Application Methodology Surface Preparation:
- All loose traces of concrete or mortar, dust grease oil, etc. must be removed. Damaged or contaminated concrete shall be removed to obtain a keyed aggregate exposed surface. Non-impact vibrating cleaning method, e.g grit or high pressure water blasting are recommended. Cut the edges of the repair vertically to a minimum depth of 5 mm.
- Clean all exposed reinforcement. Ensure back of rebar is also clean
- Where reinforcing bars are corroded, cut back the concrete to at least 20 mm behind the reinforcing bars. Grit blast to remove corrosion products from around reinforcing bars and coat with ShaliPrime Zn R / ShaliPrime Zn Ph to protect from corrosion
- Replace the affected part of rebar if the diameter after grit blasting is found reduced by more than 20% of the original diameter
Material Preparation:
- Mix ShaliFix® FRM in a forced action pan mixer, or with a helical paddle attached to a low speed (500 rpm) mixer for 3 minutes until a lump free, thixotropic consistency is achieved
- Only use potable water @ 3.75 – 4.25 L per bag of ShaliFix® FRM
- Allow the mortar to rest for 2 – 3 minutes and then remix briefly before applying
- If the ambient temperature is more than 30 deg C, use cold water as the mixing water.
Application of Material:
- Ensure that- During application minimum temperature must be maintained at least for 24 hours thereafter for optimum curing of the product.
- Prepared substrate is pre-soaked preferably for 24 hours, but at least 2 hours before applying ShaliFix® FRM.
- Surface is saturated surface dry, but without standing water
- Apply ShaliFix® FRM by spray or trowel. Apply mix product directly to the prepared damp substrate, or wet on wet onto the primed surface
- A thin scrape coat or contact layer before building up to the required thickness, wet on wet, will improve adhesion especially in case of hand application.
- Apply to the desired layer thickness of 12 to 50 mm and level using a screeding bar, trowel or wooden board.
- Apply ShaliFix® FRM in thicker layers in smaller patches or where additional reinforcement is present
- Smoothing with a trowel or finishing by float or sponge can be done as soon as the mortar begun to stiffen.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Clean all tools immediately after use with Xylene. Do no allow the material to harden
Health & Safety:
- Avoid contact with skin / eyes, and avoid swallowing
- Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour
- Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection
- In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent to clean the contacted area

Shalimar Dam-It is particularly effective for stopping the flow of running water and stop leaks in concrete and masonry surface.
Application For rapid temporary patching / plugging of concrete and brickwork in:
- Sewage system
- Plumbing system
- Pipes and bell repairs

- Underground access chambers / manhole repairs

Surface Preparation:
- Clean the desired area of all oil, grease, dirt, debris, laitance, dust from the patch before application.
Material preparation:
- Add 1 kg of Shalimar Dam-It into 180 ml of clean water
- In case of ambient temperature is below 4 Degree C, use of lukewarm water is advisable to accelerate strength development
- Since Shalimar Dam-It, is rapid setting in nature, prepare adequate quantity of Shalimar Dam-It.
Application of Material:
- Place the prepared mix immediately on the concrete / masonry surface, where leakage is happening.
- In case of plug running water, Shalimar Dam-It should be used and held in place until the initial set is reached.

- Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour
- Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection

- ShaliTile Glue is a single component, pre-packed, tile adhesive mortar consisting of cement, selected grades of silica and additives
- ShaliTile Glue has good bonding and consistency and can be used for fixing different kind of tiles / granites / marbles.
- ShaliTile Glue needs addition of water only before preparation of bed for fixing tiles. It conforms to IS : 15477 Type I & II.

Surface Preparation:
- Ensure that application surface is clean, dry, structurally sound, free of all grease, oil, dirt, dust, and other foreign matter
- Prepare the surface mechanically by cleaning with wire brush
- Moist the prepared surface before laying of ShaliTile® Glue.
Material Preparation:
- Add ShalliTile® Glue into water in the ratio of 3 : 1 by volume
- Take 2/3rd of the desired water quantity and slowly add ShalliTile® Glue, while mixing with a slow speed mechanical mixture
- On achieving the consistent mix, add remaining 1/3rd water and continue mixing with slow speed mechanical mixture till desired consistency for preparation of bed is achieved
- Wait for 5 minutes and then begin laying the bed for fixing tiles / granites / marble.
Application of Material:
- Apply ShaliTile® Glue on the substrate using a notched trowel in order to achieve a minimum uniform thickness of 2 mm
- Press firmly the tile onto the substrate for few seconds to ensure good contact with the adhesive
- For better adhesion, apply ShaliTile® Glue on back of tile as well as on substrate

- Do not apply ShaliTile® Glue over wood, asphalt sheeting, vinyl covered wall board, cement asbestos board, metal, glass, plastic, or gypsum mortar beds
- Apply ShaliTile® Glue when the ambient temperature is between 4 – 40 Degree C
