ShaliFloor® SL AS 3 E (Formerly known as ShaliScreed SL AS) is a multi-layer system comprising of ShaliPrime® AS, ShaliFloor® SL AS 3 E – both Base Coat and Top Coat. The Total system gives a thickness of 3 – 5 mm with anti-static properties.

Application Methodology:
  • All Substrates should be dry (max. 5% moisture content), clean, sound and free of laitance
  • Use of surface grinders/ scarifiers / shot blasting is recommended in case of old floors
  • Copper wire or copper strip may be used depending upon the availability and suitability of the site 
  • Groove cutting and laying of copper wire: Cut the groove in the size of 5 mm width and 10 mm depth at a distance of 1 mtr x 1 mtr lengthwise and breadth wise. At the periphery, near the wall, a distance of 6 inches should be maintained for cutting the groove. At any one end, the groove to be extended to facilitate the earthing connection. Then insert the copper wire into the groove and fill the groove with ShaliFloor® SL AS 3 E Putty. And allow the putty to dry. After drying, grind the excessive dried putty with grinder as to level the surface
  • Clean the surface well and ensure that the surface is free from dust prior to application of ShaliPrime AS. 
  • Laying of copper strip: Remove the butter paper and expose the adhesive of the copper strip. Stick the self adhesive copper strip on to the clean concrete substrate at a distance of 1 mtr to each other, lengthwise and breadth wise. At the periphery, near to the walls, stick the self adhesive copper strip at a distance of 6 inches from the walls. At any one end in the room, copper strip should be extended out for connection of earthing
  • Priming: Use ShaliPrime AS for priming. It is imperative that the contents of the two components are thoroughly premixed prior to mixing together. Mix slowly using a slow speed drill and paddle for at least 4 minutes, scrape down the sides to ensure complete mixing.
  • Base Coat: A Three component self levelling system which is natural black in color. Base coat should be applied after drying of the ShaliPrime AS (after 6 - 8 hrs from application of primer). 
  • Topcoat: Top Coat is a three component self levelling system. It is available in range of colors. (Technical department to be contacted for color availability). Top coat to be applied after drying of base coat. A gap of at least 12 hrs should be maintained for application of topcoat. Roughening the surface of dried base coat by using emery paper is recommended for better bonding of the topcoat with the base coat. Before application of top coat the surface should be cleaned and ensure that the surface is free from dust particles. 
  • Mixing and application methodology for top coat and base coat remains common as equal to a normal Self leveling system.

Limitations:
  • Do not apply ShaliFloor® SL AS 3 E on surfaces known to, or likely to, suffer from rising dampness, potential osmosis problems or having relative humidity greater than 75 %.
  • Do not apply ShaliFloor® SL AS 3 E to asphalt, weak or infirm concrete, unmodified sand / cement screeds, PVC tiles or sheets, or substrates known to move substantially e.g. steel walkways.

Surface Preparation:
  • Prepare the surface by mechanical grinding or other suitable method.
  • Remove dust, flakes, oil, grease or other loose foreign particles by sand blasting, iron brush or compressed air. Remove old painting using surface grinder.

  • For best bond, concrete surface must be slightly textured. 
  • Allow it to dry before priming. 
  • Ensure that concrete must be cured at least 28 days and moisture content is below 5%.

Material Preparation:
  • Mix ShaliFloor 2PU TC component A (Resin) & B (Hardener) thoroughly by using speed drill mixer with a spiral type blade at the bottom of stirrer rod. The speed may be 1000 rpm till homogeneous mix is obtained. Then add component B (Resin) slowly, ensuring complete dispersion.
  • After stirring, wait for the product to settle in order to let entrapped air escape.

Application of Material:
  • Prime concrete surface with ShaliPrime 2E and allow it to dry for 6 – 8 hrs till it is touch dry. 
  • Apply ShaliFloor® 2PU TC by brush / roller on primed surface.

Application Methodology Surface Preparation:
  • Remove all loose gravel, dirt, oil, grease and foreign matter by jet of dry air and clean the surface mechanically or by grinding to make it smooth before application
  • A damp proof membrane is essential where rising moisture may cause a delaminating of the ShaliFloor® PU from concrete
  • Concrete and other cementatious substrates must have minimum tensile (pull-off) strength of 1.5 N/mm2 in order to ensure that failure of the substrate does not occur before acceptable bond stress has been reached. Minimum compressive strength should be 25 N/mm2 of the concrete substrate.
  • In order to produce the good bond between the substrate and the floor topping the substrate shall be prepared by mechanical means using captive shot blasting machine or Mechanical scarifier
  • After substrate preparation by mechanical means the surface should be inspected to measure surface soundness. Any weak or suspect patches must be removed
  • Substrate must be free from dust & loose particles. Vacuum cleaning should be used to remove dust and loose particles.
  • All traces of contaminants, including oils, fats, greases, paint residues, chemicals, algae and laitance, should be removed prior to starting surface preparation
  • Concrete and other cementitious substrate must be visibly dry before application of the floor topping
  • Surface defects exposed during surface preparation viz. shrinkage cracks, blow holes, minor honeycombing, minor damage to joint etc. shall be filled with ShaliFloor® PU
  • Every 4 to 5 m2 along length and bredth and at the termination Grove cutting is essential Grove must be double the size of the thickness of the ShaliFloor® PU. 

Material Preparation:
  • Mix Component A (Resin), Component B (Hardener) & Component D (liquid pigment). Mix thoroughly with help of drill mixer till homogenous coloured mix is obtained. 
  • Gradually add the Component C (Powder) whilst mixing continues; mix until the aggregate is thoroughly dispersed and the mix become uniform, typically 4-5 minutes

Application of Material:
  • When the surface quality of a finished floor topping is important for hygiene or aesthetic reasons a prepared concrete substrate should have a scratch coat (2.0 kg / m2 ) of ShaliFloor® PU as a primer. Priming or scratch coat prevents air rising from the substrate (which could result in surface defects) and stops resin being sucked into the substrate concrete so facilitating application and producing a more even surface finish.  
  • Application of ShaliFloor® PU: The floor is laid, at 4 / 6mm thickness depending upon specification, with a wet front maintained throughout. The mixed ShaliFloor® PU is spread to the required thickness with steel trowel. A spiked roller should be passed through the material to assist flow and release any air inclusions.

ShaliFloor TC 2 HB SF (Formerly known as ShaliPoxy SLC) is a two component pigmented epoxy floor coating with a thickness of around 300 microns in one coat. ShaliFloor TC 2 HB SF is unique in its simplicity of application resulting in a smooth, non-porous, hygienic, chemically resistant floor coating. It is available in a number of colours and has sufficient strength to withstand industrial traffic with nylon / rubber wheels. ShaliFloor TC 2 HB SF is tested by CFTRI as per 21 CFR 175-300 of US FDA test method.

ShaliFloor SL TC 4 E consists of graded aggregates bound in a pigmented epoxy resin. ShaliFloor SL TC 4 E provides monolithic, smooth, non-porous, hygienic, chemical resistant and easy to clean and maintain floor. It is available in a number of colours and has sufficient strength to withstand industrial traffic with nylon / rubber wheels.

ShaliFloor SL TC 4 E is tested by CFTRI as per 21 CFR 175-300 of US FDA Test Method

  • To this coloured mixture, add component C (powder) of ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E slowly and then add component B (Hardener) slowly in the above compound and ensure complete dispersion. Mix for 5-10 minutes till homogenous mix is obtained.

Application of Material:
  • Prime concrete surface with ShaliPrime 2E and allow it to dry for 6 – 8 hrs till it is touch dry
  • Apply mix of ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E and spread evenly over recommended area using a notch trowel. The notch of the Trovel should be double the desired thickness of the ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E top coat
  • Anchor ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E near walls, around columns / foundations and at edges of trenches / cutters / bays and expansion joints. Use spike roller with long handle on applied ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E to remove entrapped air. Ensure that the spike roller is not applied too long to leave any permanent indentation on surface. 
  • When applied over steel surfaces, underlayment of ShaliFix RM C is must. Thickness of ShaliFix RM C should be maintained minimum of 5 mm. For application methodology of ShaliFix RM C, refer to TDS of ShaliFix RM C. 
  • Do not apply ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E over treated expansion joints. Treat expansion joints with ShaliSeal PS.

ShaliFloor SL TC 3PU is three component polyurethane self-leveling flooring. It is solvent free system. ShaliFloor SL TC 3PU is joint-less, monolithic, smooth, non-porous, hygienic, chemically resistant, besides being easy to clean and maintain. ShaliFloor SL TC 3PU can be applied from 1mm thickness to 2 mm thickness.

Surface Preparation:
  • Prepare the surface by mechanical grinding or other suitable method
  • Remove dust, flakes, oil, grease or other loose foreign particles by sand blasting, iron brush or compressed air. Remove old painting using surface grinder. 
  • Remove old painting using surface grinder
  • For best bond, concrete surface must be slightly textured
  • Allow it to dry before priming. 

Material Preparation:
  • Mix ShaliFloor® SL TC 3PU component A (Resin) & C (Filler) thoroughly by using speed drill mixer with a spiral type blade at the bottom of stirrer rod. The speed may be 1000 rpm till homogeneous mix is obtained. Then add component B (Hardener) slowly, ensuring complete dispersion. After all of component C has been added, mix for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes
  • After stirring, wait for the product to settle in order to let entrapped air escape

Application of Material:
  • Prime concrete surface with ShaliPrime 2 E and allow it to dry for 6 – 8 hrs till it is touch dry
  • Pour the material on to the primed surface and spread the material with notched trowel to achieve the desired thickness
  • After spreading the material as per recommended coverage spike the surface with spike roller
  • Rolling should be done to achieve excellent finish as well as to remove the entrapped air
  • Prior to the application, during application and after application the substrate temperature should be above 10o C.

Health & Safety:
  • Avoid contact with skin / eyes and avoid swallowing
  • Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour
  • Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection
  • In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent to clean the contacted area
  • In case of eye contact, wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.

ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E (Formerly known as ShaliDeck SL) is a four component self leveling pigmented epoxy resin based floor top coating, which is laid at a thickness from 0.5 mm to 2 mm. ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E consists of graded aggregates bound in a pigmented epoxy resin. ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E provides monolithic, smooth, non-porous, hygienic, chemical resistant and easy to clean and maintain floor. It is available in a number of colours and has sufficient strength to withstand industrial traffic with nylon / rubber wheels. 

ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E is tested by CFTRI as per 21 CFR 175-300 of US FDA Test Method.

  • To this coloured mixture, add component C (powder) of ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E slowly and then add component B (Hardener) slowly in the above compound and ensure complete dispersion. Mix for 5-10 minutes till homogenous mix is obtained.

Application of Material:
  • Prime concrete surface with ShaliPrime 2E and allow it to dry for 6 – 8 hrs till it is touch dry
  • Apply mix of ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E and spread evenly over recommended area using a notch trowel. The notch of the Trovel should be double the desired thickness of the ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E top coat
  • Anchor ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E near walls, around columns / foundations and at edges of trenches / cutters / bays and expansion joints. Use spike roller with long handle on applied ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E to remove entrapped air. Ensure that the spike roller is not applied too long to leave any permanent indentation on surface. 
  • When applied over steel surfaces, underlayment of ShaliFix RM C is must. Thickness of ShaliFix RM C should be maintained minimum of 5 mm. For application methodology of ShaliFix RM C, refer to TDS of ShaliFix RM C
  • Do not apply ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E over treated expansion joints. Treat expansion joints with ShaliSeal PS.

Limitations:
  • Do not apply ShaliFloor® SL TC 4 E on surfaces known to, or likely to, suffer from rising dampness, potential osmosis problems or having relative humidity greater than 75 %

  • Apply any further coating or topping after 72 hrs.

Health and Safety
  • Use goggles and hand gloves during application.

ShaliFloor TC 2 ARE (Formerly known as ShaliPoxy AR) is a two component, room temperature cured, 100% solid epoxy system designed to protect surface against severe chemical attack.

Application
  • Protects concrete surfaces from chemical attack.
  • Used around chemical storage tanks and pumps to protect floors.
  • Can be applied over metal surfaces subjected to acids and bases.

Application Methodology
  • Concrete Surface: The moisture content of the concrete substrate should be below 5%. Concrete surface must be even, and free of potholes. All oil, dirt, debris, paint and unsound concrete must be removed. Any repair works required should be carried out before coating. Clean the surface with solvent prior to coating.
  • New Steel: Clean the surface with Shot Blasting to a minimum surface profile not exceeding 65 microns
  • Old Steel: If blasting is not practical use mechanical tools along with Manual chipping and wire brushing to remove loose rust. Excessive burnishing of steel is to be avoided. Remove the dust from the surface thoroughly. Remove grease, oil and other contaminants preferably by using STP thinner.
  • For Steel Surfaces anticorrosive primers to be applied. On concrete surfaces ShaliPrime LB HB 2E to be applied.
  • Stir the Component A and Component B separately. If settling is observed in the Component A, loosen the settled material with the help of hand stirrer followed by power driven stirrer for quick homogenous mixing. Mix hardener gradually into the base under continuous stirring.
  • After proper mixing of Comp A and Comp B, mixed material can be applied by brush or roller on the prepared surface. As the coating is very thick in consistency, it is always preferred to use stiff bristle brush.

Limitations

Application Methodology
  • ShaliFloor TC 2 HBE should be applied only if the moisture content of the floor is below 5% when applied over concrete, the surface must be sound, free from dust, laitance and other contaminants.
  • For best bond, concrete surface must be textured by shot blasting / scarifying.
  • Remove oil and grease by washing with liquid detergent followed by acid wash or by burning.
  • Allow the floor to dry before priming.
  • Remove old painting using surface grinder.
  • Well prepared surface should be primed by brush or roller using ShaliPrime LBHB 2E at a rate of 250 grm / m2.
  • Allow the primer to dry for 6 to 8 hrs.
  • Stir the Component A and Component B separately. If settling is observed in the Component A, loosen the settled material with the help of hand stirrer followed by power driven stirrer for quick homogenous mixing. Mix hardener gradually into the base under continuous stirring.
  • After mixing, apply ShaliFloor TC 2 HBE by brush or roller to the required thickness on the dried primer.
  • ShaliFloor TC 2 HBE is a high build coating. It is advisable to apply two coats at right angles to each other. This way the second coat will cover any blemishes of the first coat. Allow first coat to become tack free before the second coat is applied. (Generally second coat is applied after overnight curing of first coat.)

Limitations
  • Do not apply ShaliFloor TC 2 HBE on surfaces known to, or likely to, suffer from rising dampness, potential osmosis problems or having relative humidity greater than 75 %.
  • Do not apply ShaliFloor TC 2 HBE to asphalt, weak or infirm concrete, unmodified sand / cement screeds, PVC tiles or sheets, or substrates known to move substantially e.g. steel walkways.
  • Do not apply ShaliFloor TC 2 HBE at temperature < 10 OC or > 45 OC.
  • In common with all epoxy materials some light shade changes may be experienced over the long term when placed in adverse exposure conditions. Any such change in shade is not regarded as being detrimental to performance.

Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Clean all tools immediately after use with xylene. Do not allow material to harden.
  • Service life of a floor will be considerably extended by good housekeeping. Regular cleaning may be carried out using a rotary scrubbing machine with a warm miscible cleaning agent at temperature up to 50 OC.

ShaliFloor SL AS 3PU is a three component, polyurethane self-leveling antistatic dissipative flooring system, which is laid at a thickness from 3 mm to 5 mm.

ShaliFloor SL AS 3PU is a multi-layer system comprising of ShaliPrime AS, ShaliFloor SL AS 3 E Base Coat and Top Coat.

A protective aliphatic coat of ShaliFloor 2PU TC of 60-70 micron is suggested for color retention of exposed areas.

ShaliFloor SL AS 3PU provides monolithic, smooth, non-porous, hygienic, chemical resistant and easy to clean and maintain floor. It is available in number of colour and has excellent flexibility / adhesive properties. It provides a static dissipating floor with the use of additional earthing. 

ShaliFloor SL AS 3PU conforms to Standard BS 2050 and ASTM D 257.

Application Methodology:
Surface Preparation:
  • Remove all loose gravel, dirt, oil, grease and foreign matter by jet of dry air and clean the surface mechanically or by grinding to make it smooth before application. Ensure that new concrete must be 28 days old. 
  • Copper wire or copper strip may be used depending upon the availability and suitability of the site. 
  • Laying of Copper Strip: Remove the butter paper and expose the adhesive of the copper strip. Stick the self-adhesive copper strip on to the clean concrete substrate at a distance of 1 M to each other, lengthwise and breadth wise. At the periphery, near to the walls, stick the self-adhesive copper strip at a distance of 6 inches from the walls. At any one end in the room, copper strip should be extended out for connection of earthing. 

Material Preparation:
  • Mix entire component A (Resin) & C (Filler) thoroughly by using speed drill mixer with a spiral type blade at the bottom of stirrer rod till homogeneous mix is obtained. Then add entire component B (Hardener) slowly, ensuring complete dispersion. After all of component C has been added, mix for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes. 
  • After stirring, wait for 5 minutes to ensure escape of entrapped air

Application Methodology:
Surface Preparation:
  • Remove all loose gravel, dirt, oil, grease and foreign matter by jet of dry air and clean the surface mechanically or by grinding to make it smooth before application. 
  • A damp proof membrane is essential where rising moisture may cause a delaminating of the ShaliFloor SL PU from concrete.
  • Concrete and other cementitious substrates must have minimum tensile (pull-off) strength of 1.5 N/mm2 in order to ensure that failure of the substrate does not occur before acceptable bond stress has been reached. Minimum compressive strength should be 25 N/mm2 of the concrete substrate. 
  • In order to produce the good bond between the substrate and the floor topping the substrate shall be prepared by mechanical means using captive shot blasting machine or Mechanical scarifier. 
  • After substrate preparation by mechanical means the surface should be inspected to measure surface soundness. Any weak or suspect patches must be removed. 
  • Substrate must be free from dust & loose particles. Vacuum cleaning should be used to remove dust and loose particles. 
  • All traces of contaminants, including oils, fats, greases, paint residues, chemicals, algae and laitance, should be removed prior to starting surface preparation. 
  • Concrete and other cementitious substrate must be visibly dry before application of the floor topping. 
  • Surface defects exposed during surface preparation viz. shrinkage cracks, blow holes, minor honeycombing, minor damage to joint etc. shall be filled with ShaliFloor SL PU.

Application Methodology
Surface Preparation
  • Prepare the surface by mechanical grinding or other suitable method.
  • Remove dust, flakes, oil, grease or other loose foreign particles by sand blasting, iron brush or compressed air. Remove old painting using surface grinder.
  • Remove old painting using surface grinder.
  • For best bond, concrete surface must be slightly textured.
  • Allow it to dry before priming.

Material Preparation
  • Mix ShaliFloor SL T 3 ES component A (Resin) & B (Hardener) thoroughly by using speed drill mixer with a spiral type blade at the bottom of stirrer rod. The speed may be 1000 rpm till homogeneous mix is obtained. Then add component C (Filler) slowly, ensuring complete dispersion. After all of component C has been added, mix for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes.
  • After stirring, wait for the product to settle in order to let entrapped air escape.

Application of Material
  • Prime concrete surface with ShaliPrime 2E and allow it to dry for 6 – 8 hrs till it is touch dry.
  • Lay ShaliFloor® SL T 3 ES after mixing is over. Spread mix evenly over recommended area using a steel trowel with notches.
  • Anchor ShaliFloor® SL T 3 ES near walls, around columns / foundations and at edges of trenches / cutters / bays and expansion joints.
  • Use spike roller with long handle on applied ShaliFloor® SL T 3 ES to remove entrapped air. Ensure that the spike roller is not applied too long to leave any permanent indentation on surface.
  • When applied over steel surfaces, underlayment of ShaliFix RM C is must. Thickness of ShaliFix RM C should be maintained minimum of 5 mm. For application methodology of ShaliFix RM C, refer to TDS of ShaliFix RM C.
  • Compact the material by tamping with a wooden float. Finish off by trowelling with steel trowel to a smooth finish.

Limitations

Surface Preparation:
  • Remove all loose gravel, dirt, oil, grease or other loose foreign particles by sand blasting / iron brush / compressed air
  • In case of steel pipe / structure, prepare surface by mechanical grinding, shot blasting conforming to SA2½. 
  • Steel surface, in case of outdoor use, should be cleaned conforming to SA 2. 
  • In case of concrete surface, ensure that the surface is free of honey combs etc. Repair all honey combs fill with PMC mortar prepared in the ratio of ShaliCrete : Cement : Sand (1 : 2 : 5). 
  • Ensure that the surface is free of condensation / moisture before priming. Moisture should be less than 5%.

Material Preparation:
  • Stir ShaliUrethane® TC by a slow speed mixture (approx. 400 rpm) fitted with a suitable mixing paddle to ensure a homogenous mix
  • After stirring, wait for the product to settle in order to let entrapped air escape.

Application of Material:
  • Prime surface with ShaliPrime PU MIO and allow it to dry
  • Apply ShaliUrethane® TC by single component airless spray gun / brush / roller
  • Allow it to dry for 4 – 5 hrs for subsequent coating.

Health & Safety:
  • Avoid contact with skin / eyes, and avoid swallowing
  • Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour
  • Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection
  • In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent to clean the contacted area
  • In case of eye contact, wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. 
  • If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.

Shelf Life
  • From the date of manufacture when maintain in protected storage in original unopened sealed condition at 5 - 38 OC.
