ShaliSeal PU GG is single component Polyurethane elastomeric sealant. ShaliSeal PU GG resists crack arising out of movements of joint materials

It conforms to EN 14187-S 2003, BS 5212, ASTM C-920, ISO-11600.

Application Methodology Surface Preparation:
  • Remove all loose gravel, dirt, oil, grease and foreign matter by jet of dry air and clean the surface mechanically or by grinding to make it smooth before application
  • Concrete surface must be dry and stable at least for 28 days
  • Ensure that the moisture content in the prepared surface does not exceed 5% immediately before application of ShaliSeal PU GG
  • To avoid adhesion of spill-over material beside joint, use masking tape at floor level beside both sides to get sharp edged neat and clean joint
  • Use back up material to avoid third face adhesion and to avoid contact between joint forming board & sealant
  • Use primer on vertical side faces of the joint to ensure strong bonding between substrate and sealant. 

Application of Material:
  • Use Extruded polyethylene rod of diameter of 25% more of the width at the base as separation layer, construction & control joints as back up material to avoid 3-face adhesion and to avoid contact between joint forming board & sealant
  • Prime the surface with ShaliPrime S @ 7 m2 / L in case of concrete surface and 10 m2 / L in case of metal surface
  • After primer is surface dry and noticeable surface tack is generated, apply ShaliSeal PU from the gun slowly and fill. Smooth out with soapy water by pressing the mastic against the edges and the joint
  • Remove protection strip.

Cleaning & Maintenance:
  • Clean the equipment with solvent like Xylene, Toluene. Scrap off cured sealant on the equipment.

Health & Safety:
  • Avoid contact with skin / eyes, and avoid swallowing
  • Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour
  • Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection
  • In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent to clean the contacted area
  • In case of eye contact, wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. 
  • If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.

Storage:
  • Keep in cool dry place, under the shed, away from heat and humidity. Store in proper ventilated room and temperature should be between 10 - 25 OC.

ShaliSeal PS PG is two component, polysulphide polymer based, UV resistant, flexible, tear resistant, rubbery, self-leveling, pourable, non-staining sealant, which adheres to most of building materials like cementitious substrates, aluminum, glass, wood, mild steel etc. ShaliSeal PS PG cures at ambient temperature, has excellent recovery characteristics after extended period of compression / elongation with outstanding resistance to most chemicals, weather conditions, aging and shrinkage.

It conforms to BS 5212: 1990 Part I -Type F & Type FB (Flame and Fuel Resistant), IS 12118 Part 1 – 1987, BS:4254 and ASTM C 920.

Application:
  • Expansion joints in industrial, commercial or residential buildings
  • Joints in concrete roads, bridges, subways, flyovers & airport runway
  • Joints in water retaining structures like water tank, swimming pool including decks, aqua ducts, dams, canals & reservoirs

  • Ensure depth of the joint does not exceed its width
  • Start applying the prepared mixer with Gun after 30 minutes of mixing on tacky primed surface. Use backup rod to adjust depth suitably
  • Do not use ShaliSeal PS PG in grooves exceeding 50 mm in width.

Finishing and Cleaning:
  • Finish the joint in concave shape by using wooden batten soaked in soap water or white sprit from time to time. 
  • Remove masking tape within 30 minutes before setting of sealant
  • Clean tools and tackles using solvent like Xylene etc.

ShaliSeal EMS (formerly known as ShaliEMS 700) is a two component, semi-rigid epoxy for filling control and construction joints in industrial concrete floors. This product supports the joint edges and reduces spalling of the edges caused by wheel traffic. ShaliSeal EMS has been designed for use under ACI 302, Section 4.10 recommendations for epoxy joint fillers

Application:
  • Concrete construction and control joints in industrial floors

Advantages:
  • Semi-flexible formula that allows for limited temperature and humidity movement of concrete
  • Tough performance reduces floor joint repairs and maintenance

Specifications / Compliances:
  • ShaliSeal EMS is a semi flexible joint filler designed to comply with ACI 302 recommendations regarding control and construction joints.  

Application Methodology:
  • Ensure that the groove to be treated is free from oil, grease, paints or any other contamination
  • Any dust or loose particles has to be removed by air pressure or by any other suitable method 
  • Grooves should be clean and dry prior to the application of ShaliSeal EMS
  • Masking tape has to be applied near the edge of the groove to get a straight neat finish
  • Mix component A and Component B separately. If settling is observed in the Comp A and Comp B, loosen the settled material with the help of hand stirrer followed by power driven stirrer for quick homogenous mixing. Mix Comp B gradually into the Comp A under continuous stirring
  • After ensuring a homogenous mix, pour the mixed material into the groove
  • Joints should be overfilled and immediately cut with a razor knife or ground flush with the floor. If ShaliSeal EMS has completely hardened, a heat flame may be used to soften the material for easier removal
  • ShaliSeal EMS requires no special curing instructions. The product will cure within 24 hrs of placement @ 21 OC. Lower temperature will slow the curing rate

Limitation:
  • Based on ACI 302 recommendations, epoxy joint filler should be applied 3 to 6 months after construction, the later the better
  • Do not use ShaliSeal EMS as an expansion joint sealant
  • Use only at temperature above 4 Degree C 
  • Contact surfaces must be cleaned and dry.

Health & Safety:
  • The product should not come in contact with the skin and eyes, or be swallowed
  • Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapours as some people are sensitive to resins, hardeners and solvents
  • Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection
  • In case of contact with skin, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent to clean the contacted area
  • In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice
  • If swallowed seek medical attention immediately - do not induce vomiting.
