- ShaliPoxy CTE 303 is a two component, high build, coal tar epoxy protective coating for steel and concrete giving 300 micron in single coat on wet-on-wet basis.
- ShaliPoxy CTE 303 has excellent corrosion / chemical / abrasion / scratch resistance and is used as direct to metal (DTM) application, without any requirement of primer.
- It conforms to AWWA C-210 : 2015 SSPC Paint 16 and Corp of Engineers C200 / C200a
Application:
- MS / concrete pipes and metallic structures.
- Crude oil storage tanks / underground structures / other metal & steel structures & pipes.
- Sheet & pipe piling.
- Dams, Barrage gates, Penstocks.
- Foundation walls and sumps.
- Concrete and Steel surfaces in sewage treatment plant.
- Paper Mills / Chemical Plants.
Advantages:
- Flexible anti-corrosive / protective coating for structures – MS or concrete – even where the structure is in continuous contact with water.
- Compatible with controlled cathodic protection.
- Provides excellent resistance to impact, thermal shock and abrasion.
- Cures to a hard, smooth and flexible surface with excellent resistance to sea / salt water, oil, acids, alkalis, crude oil and minerals.
Surface Preparation:
- Prepare the surface by mechanical grinding or other suitable method.
- Remove dust, flakes, oil, grease or other loose foreign particles by sand blasting, iron brush or compressed air
- In case of new concrete, ensure the concrete is at least 28 days old.
- Ensure the ambient temperature is not less than 10 OC and not more than 50 OC at the time of coating.
Material Preparation:
- Stir drums of each component of ShaliPoxy CTE 303 thoroughly to a homogenous and uniform mix with a slow speed stirrer fitted with a suitable mixing paddle
- Ensure that there is no entrapped air
- Then mix the entire component A and component B, which are pre-weighed
- Place the spiral blade at the bottom of the container before starting the mixer. This will help avoiding inducting air into the mass. Slowly move the stirrer head up to the surface while stirring. Do not remove the blade while still it is spinning. This procedure is continued for 5 minutes up and down to have a homogeneous mixing
- After stirring, wait for 5 minutes in order to let entrapped air escape
- Stir again gently with a hand stirrer to ensure uniformity before application.
Application of Material:
- Apply ShaliPoxy CTE 303 direct to metal or prime surface with ShaliPrime Zn Ph 60. Allow minimum 4 hrs for primer to touch dry
- Apply first coat of ShaliPoxy CTE 303 on the prepared surface by brush / roller / spray
- Allow it to touch dry for 4 hrs
- If required, apply second coat of ShaliPoxy CTE 303 as above as per the technical data
- In case of airless spray, use standard equipment having tip size of 0.48 - 0.88 mm and tip pressure 110 – 160 kg / cm2 .
- Clean all tools immediately after use with STP Thinner. Do not allow the material to harden.
Health & Safety:
- Avoid contact with skin / eyes, and avoid swallowing
- Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour
- Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection
- In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent to clean the contacted area
- In case of eye contact, wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.

- ShaliMastic HD / LC is an anti-corrosive, heavy duty thermoplastic high / low build coating based on specially processed coal tar pitch.
- ShaliMastic HD conforms generally to the American Bureau of Reclamations specification “Cold Applied Coal Tar Compound CA 50.
- ShaliMastic LC conforms to IS: 290.
Application Cold applied liquid protective coating for:
- Underground metal storage tanks for diesel, petrol and other liquid / gas.
- Other buried / submerged surface or equipment.
- Interior / exterior surfaces of metal or concrete tanks, culverts, steel / wood pilings, filter screens, sluice gates, tank bases, trestles etc

Surface Preparation:
- Prepare the base metal by mechanical grinding or other suitable method

- Ensure the ambient temperature is not less than 10 deg C and not more than 50 deg C at the time of coating.
Material Preparation:
- Stir drums thoroughly to obtain a homogenous and uniform mix a high speed mixture (approx. 150 - 200 rpm) fitted with a suitable mixing paddle.
- Ensure that there is no entrapped air
- Place the spiral blade at the bottom of the container before starting the mixer. This will help avoiding inducting air into the mass. Slowly move the stirrer head up to the surface while stirring. Do not remove the blade while still it is spinning. This procedure is continued for 5 minutes up and down to have a homogeneous mixing.
- Allow ShaliMastic HD / LC to settle for 10 minutes.
Application of Material:
- Prime surface with ShaliPrime PW CT.
- Allow minimum 4 hrs to hard dry the primer
- Apply ShaliMastic HD / LC on the prepared surface by brush / metal plate (Patra).
- For metal and concrete surface, STP recommend minimum 3 and 2 coats respectively.
Limitation:
- Do not apply ShaliProtek CT 200 over shop-coating, like red oxide coating etc.

ShaliCem EWP® AR is ready to use two component UV resistant coating with Anti-root properties. ShaliCem EWP® AR is primarily used for in waterproofing of landscaping area
Application:

Surface Preparation:
- Ensure that structure is sound and free from dirt, soil, oil release agents, laitance and any other foreign materials which may impair the bond, penetration and/ or the overall performance of ShaliCem® EWP
- Chemically remove any efflorescence, form oil, mould etc
- Repair any cracks, honeycombed pockets or holes by PMC mortar or PlastiSeal P
- Ensure to dampen walls for an hour before application and keep damp allowing moisture to soak in. Wet dense concrete at least twice, not less than 30 minutes apart. Surface must be damp during application. Do not allow standing water.
Material Preparation:
- Add Component B into a suitable container containing and thereupon, add Component A slowly whilst mixing thoroughly mix it preferably in a Jiffy Mixer
- Crush any globules formed to make uniform paste and continue mixing.
Application of Material:
- Prime the area with slurry by mixing one part of ShaliCrete with two parts of neat cement i.e. in the ratio 1 : 2
- Apply ShaliCem EWP on clean and dampen surface with stiff fibre brush. Scrub well into the damp wall filling all pores and finish with final stroke in one direction. Keep a wet edge
- Apply second coat when the first coat is touch dry
- Allow to dry for 24 hr before moist curing. Do not apply water through a hose or pressurized nozzle
- Light spray of water may be required between coats in hot/ dry climates
- When surface becomes hard enough, fog spray with clean water keeping waterproofed surface damp for 3 days. Hotter the weather, more critical the curing. Light spraying of water is recommended more frequently and for several days
- For better properties one may go for ShaliCem EWP 150 or ShaliCem EWP 200, which are the superior grades of ShaliCem EWP. For lucrative coloured finish, Apply 1 - 2 coat of ShaliCryl TC 100 E as a top coat. It will provide excellent water repulsive, dust pick-up resistant and easy washable surface as well.
Protection of Waterproofing:
- Apply 25 mm PCC admixed with ShaliPlast PCE 200 to protect the treated surface. Alternatively, for trafficable roof, use ShaliProtek PU HA coating.

Surface Preparation:

- Prior to application, repair torn flashings, loose brick, faulty covings of parapet walls to provide even surface. Large blisters and surface breaks shall be slit and opened for the release of entrapped moisture then repaired with ShaliCrete URP wherever necessary
- In case of old terraces with brick-bat- coba / screeds, ensure that substrate is firm and sound. Repair damage / hollow portions, sharp edges with ShaliFix RM C. Surface cracks must be filled with PlastiSeal or ShaliSeal CPM in case of wider cracks.
- Bitumen based waterproofing treatments must be completely removed by mechanical scarification or by any other effective mechanical method.
Material Preparation:
- Stir ShaliCryl LM by a slow speed mixture (approx. 400 rpm) fitted with a suitable mixing paddle to ensure a homogenous mix
- After stirring, wait for the product to settle in order to let entrapped air escape.
Application of Material:
- Prime the surface with ShaliPrime WB diluted with water in the ratio 1 : 0.5 and apply @ 8 – 10 m2 / L
- Apply first coat of ShaliCryl® LM @ 550 ml / m2
- Place one layer of ShaliGeoText40 / 50gsm when the coat is still wet

Surface Preparation:

- Stir drums of each component thoroughly for uniformity. For best result, use a variable speed drill mixer with a spiral type blade at the bottom of stirrer rod. The speed may be 400-600 rpm
- Pre heat part-A @ 50-70 deg C and Part-B @ 50-60 deg C.
Application of Material:
- Apply ShaliPoxy 400 by plural feed airless spray gun to the required thickness on the prepared substrate.
- The tip pressure typically should be 2500-4000 psi (the tip pressure should be adjusted to achieve good atomization of the spray).
- Tip size typically should be 27 - 35 Thou orifice
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Clean all tools immediately after use with STP cleaner.

Surface Preparation:

Application Methodology Surface Preparation:

- Remove chemically any efflorescence, form oil, mould etc
- Ensure to fill cracks / honeycombs / holes / faulty construction joints with mortar made of ShaliCrete® 47, cement and super fine sand in the ratio 1 : 1 : 3 and allow it to touch dry
- Pre-wet / dampen all prepared concrete surface before application of ShaliCrete® 47. Do not allow standing water.
Slurry Preparation:
- Mix ShaliCrete 47 with neat cement in the ratio as shown in table below till obtaining homogeneous, lump free mixture with better brushable consistency:
Waterproofing Compound:
- Apply ShaliCrete 47 slurry by brush on the surface. Apply two or more coats depending on the surface condition
- Ensure time interval of 5 -6 hr between two coats
- Do not apply slurry coat on standing water
- After 6 hrs of air drying the coated surface should be cured by means of spraying water for next 24 hr. Do not leave coated surface dry during this period. Do not allow the coated surface to be submerged under water during this period
- Allow to dry for 24 hrs after moist curing. Do not apply water through a hose or pressurized nozzle.
Bonding Agent:
- Bond coat with a mixing ratio of 1:1 by volume (ShaliCrete 47 : Cement).
- The applied bonding agent should be in tacky condition before topping with new concrete.
Repair Mortar:
- Modified repair Mortar with a mixing ratio of Cement 50 kg : Sand 150 kg : ShaliCrete 47 5 kg with required amount of potable water
- Apply in specified area
- Keep the surface moist for 12 - 24 hr after application.

Application:
- Toilets, sunken slabs, kitchen, sewers, aquariums and terrariums.
- Repairing walls, planters and small concrete terraces.

Application Methodology Surface Preparation:
- Ensure that structure is at least 3 days old, sound and free from dirt, soil, oil release agents, laitance and any other foreign materials which may impair the bond, penetration and / or the overall performance of ShaliCrete®. Do not etch with acid.
- Remove chemically any efflorescence, form oil, mould etc.
- Ensure to fill cracks / honeycombs / holes / faulty construction joints with mortar made of ShaliCrete®, cement and super fine sand in the ratio 1 : 2 : 3 and allow it to touch dry.
- Pre-wet / dampen all prepared concrete surface before application of ShaliCrete®. Do not
Application Methodology Slurry Preparation:
- Mix ShaliCrete with neat cement in the ratio as shown in table below till obtaining homogeneous, lump free mixture with better brushable consistency:
Waterproofing Compound:
- Apply ShaliCrete slurry by brush on the surface. Apply two or more coats depending on the surface condition.
- Ensure time interval of 5 -6 hr between two coats.
- Do not apply slurry coat on standing water.
- After 6 hrs of air drying the coated surface should be cured by means of spraying water for next 24 hr. Do not leave coated surface dry during this period. Do not allow the coated surface to be submerged under water during this period.
- Allow to dry for 24 hrs after moist curing. Do not apply water through a hose or pressurized nozzle
Bonding Agent:
- Bond coat with a mixing ratio of 1:2 (one part of ShaliCrete ® and two parts of cement).
- The applied bonding agent should be in tacky condition before topping with new concrete.
Repair Mortar:
- Bond coat with a mixing ratio of 1:2 (one part of ShaliCrete® and two parts of cement)
- Repair Mortar with a mixing ratio of 1:2:5 (one part of ShaliCrete®, two parts of cement and five part of sand) applied in specified area.
- After the application of Repair Mortar to keep the surface moist for 12 - 24 hr.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Clean tools and equipment with water before the material hardens

SuperSilverShield is composed of oxidized bitumen, solvents and specially formulated aluminum compound.
Application:
- SuperSilverShield is used as a protective coating on iron, steel, masonry and other surfaces
Application Methodology Surface Preparation:
- Remove dust, flakes, oil, grease or other foreign particles by jet or dry air and clean the surface before applying SuperSilverShield.
- Undercoat is not necessary for its application.
Material Preparation:
- Stir SuperSilverShield by a slow speed mixture (approx. 400 rpm) fitted with a suitable mixing paddle to ensure thorough dispersion of aluminium for a uniform finish.
Application of Material:
- Apply SuperSilverShield on the prepared surface by brush.
- Allow it to dry for 5 hr.
- SuperSilverShield® can be applied over old painted surfaces without burning off or scraping, provided the old surface is not in a flaky condition.
Health & Safety:
- Avoid contact with skin / eyes and avoid swallowing
- Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour
- Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection
- In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent to clean the contacted area
- In case of eye contact, wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
- If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
